We are in a quest to gather all 73 issues of our past zines in order to put them up again to display the glory that was once Dream Manga. Currently we are missing some issues and we hope if there are some old readers who have downloaded our issues back then, please contact us. Issues 1-10 are now uploaded under the "Past Issues" page from our main menu bar. Issue 11 is missing, and issue 12 and onwards will be uploaded later...

It has been a while since Dream Manga went inactive, and after 8+ years, we are opening this Carrd as a record of the wonderful memories we had when we used to spend time working on our comics and releasing monthly issues. It was fun and fulfilling, and the manga-drawing spirit in most of us hasn't died yet after all these years. Next year, 2022, will be the 15th year since Dream Manga was established in 2007, and we are planning something wonderful for this anniversary. Please stay tuned!
ABOUT
DREAM MANGA was established in 2007 by a group of friends on the Shinshi Doumei Cross forum back then who all loved manga and would like to start producing original manga. We welcome manga artists of all skill levels to join and Dream Manga had a form where artists and non-artists mingled, shared tips and chatted about just everything in their daily lives.
The contributors of DREAM MANGA were all hobby artists, and we produced monthly issues and published them online for a few years. Lately, due to the main organizer finishing school and unable to continue working on the project, DREAM MANGA was unfortunately forced to end.
This site is set up because our original website was no longer working, and most of our links were dead. We have salvaged whatever we can of our previous glory and posted them up on this site. Please feel free to browse around! Our new Discord server also welcome anyone who would like to come have a chat.

1. What is a zine?
A zine is a collection of works by contributors put together because we all like/enjoy the topic of the zine. A lot of zine projects also have merch to accompany the book. In our case, we are an original manga zine with original merch.
2. What is original manga?
Original manga are manga with original ideas from the artists, ie. not fanwork of any existing series. We only accept unpublished original works for our special zine issue.
3. Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we will set up our preorder store later to ship worldwide.
4. Do I need previous zine experience to join?
No, you do not. We are trying to accept everyone who is interested, and we will only screen applicants if there are too many people joining. If there is screening, the main criteria for acceptance is your portfolio. Please provide your best work in your portfolio for the largest chance of being accepted.
5. Can I collab with an artist/writer?
Sadly we are only accepting manga artists so there will be no writers in this project. Artists are free to collab on their pieces and credits will be given to all participating artists or their Studio name.
6. What is a pinch hitter?
In case we have too many people interested in joining and we will need to do a screening, a pinch hitter is someone who is contacted to join the zine in case one of the contributors drops from the project. Please note that pinch hitters will get less time to complete their piece, but we will try to give you as much time as possible.

Short Intro: Hello! I was the founder of Dream Manga back in 2007 because I had nothing better to do as a silly uni student. I am very happy to be able to organize a special printed issue for Dream Manga's 15th anniversary! Please look forward to the finished product!
